Montgomery Bell Academy Wellness Center recognized with AIA Tennessee 2021 Design Award
As part of their 2021 Design Awards, AIA Tennessee recognized Montgomery Bell Academy H. Frank Burkholder Wellness Center with an Interior Design award.
Designed to support mental and physical health and be a resource that reaches beyond MBA, the Wellness Center includes spaces to gather, host, meet, study, perform, meditate, learn, play, practice, and compete.
Jurors felt the central atrium space was a particularly strong design element of the project—with pixelated trees and floating birds adding special points of interest. Overall the jurors felt designers delivered consistency and interest within a muted and elegant palette of color and materials.
