Designed as a curated urban display with gracefully curved lines, this 224-key boutique hotel has become the gathering place and heart of The Gulch.
Adjacent to the legendary music venue, The Station Inn, the building seamlessly integrates new and old elements of the city and, in the spirit of Nashville itself, welcomes everyone from short-term visitors to long-time locals.
Stacked above the contextual brick mass of the ground floor, the tower is clad in zinc-coated metal panels and patterned full-height glazing — a nod to the railroad past of The Gulch neighborhood.
Flowing along the radius of 11th Avenue South, the distinctive form establishes an anchor for the neighborhood and activates the neighborhood at the pedestrian level. Addressing the scale of the immediately-adjacent two-story structures the tower is intentionally pushed away from the highly active intersection of 11th Avenue South and 12th Avenue South, relieving space for the two-story composition of the ground floor restaurant and cantilevered second-floor terrace.
Situated on a highly irregular and challenging site, public and private circulation routes have been woven throughout the building to choreograph a unique visitor experience and provide a welcome, open arrival. Below-grade parking allows for private VIP elevator access to any floor in the building, including the dramatic 12th floor rooftop bar and terrace which features a nine-ton ornamental tree and breathtaking 270-degree views of the Nashville skyline.
Designed in collaboration with New York-based Parts and Labor Design, the interior design creates a sophisticated experience that is uniquely Nashville.
