Symphony Place Repositioning

For years, the Pinnacle building has defined the Nashville skyline—its bold form and early sustainability leadership setting a new standard for what a downtown tower could be. As the first LEED Gold-certified building in Tennessee, Pinnacle was a trailblazer from the start.
Now, a new chapter begins.
Reintroduced as Symphony Place, the building’s refreshed identity is rooted in both legacy and momentum—honoring what came before while embracing what’s next. The transformation is more than just aesthetic; it’s a reimagining of how the building engages with the people who move through it and the city it inhabits.

The redesigned lobby signals this shift. Open, intuitive, and warm, the lobby now offers a seamless connection between the parking garage and the main entry—creating a more welcoming arrival and an enhanced first impression. The vision: to celebrate the integrity of the original structure while elevating the everyday experience. Contemporary furnishings balance timelessness and modernity. Soft, sweeping drapery adds rhythm and texture. Layered lighting and materiality introduce a hospitality-forward character—making the space feel less like a lobby, and more like an experience.
Upstairs, the seventh floor unfolds as a narrative in its own right.
Once a conventional tenant floor, it has been reimagined as a dynamic destination—a place to gather, move, and work. At its heart is the Cumberland Club, a space inspired by the river that shares its name and the layered histories of the region. Rooted in a palette of rich woods, dark tones, and hand-crafted details, the design nods to English countryside heritage through subtle Scottish tartans and old-world finishes. Smoked mirrors, reeded glass, and warm brass add depth and refinement, while Southern architectural sensibilities—large windows, a symmetrical layout, layered patterns—imbue the space with a sense of ease and familiarity.

That spirit of balance—between sophistication and comfort—extends across the floor. Wood-paneled conference rooms echo the warmth of the Club while delivering flexible, technology-forward environments. The new fitness center continues this language with arched mirrors, tactile surfaces, and herringbone floors—blending utility with elegance.
Beyond the building’s envelope, the transformation continues with The Green, an acre of outdoor space reimagined as a vibrant terrace garden. A new walking path weaves through lush plantings and mature trees, offering framed views of downtown while creating pockets for retreat. Anchored by amenities like a pickleball court, pergolas, and an outdoor grille, the terrace becomes a true extension of the workspace—a place for recreation, reflection, and connection.
Symphony Place isn’t just a new name. It’s a redefinition of place—one that speaks with clarity, lives with purpose, and contributes to the evolving rhythm of downtown Nashville.
