UTK Student Success Center Celebrates Construction Milestone

On Friday, October 16th, The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, celebrated the student success center's dry-in milestone, marking the completion of its exterior shell. They also announced the building will be named the Compton Center for Student Success, in recognition of a commitment from John and Cindy Compton.

Opening in Fall 2027, the 116,000 SF center will bring academic resources, career services and targeted student support to the heart of campus. The building will serve as a central gathering place for students and faculty, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose. It will house a range of essential academic resources, including the Division of Student Success, Student Disability Services, Veterans Success Center, and various academic spaces such as classrooms and study areas. The design prioritizes flexibility and accessibility, ensuring that all students can fully engage with the services and spaces provided.
