Caney Fork was featured in the Spring Issue of Nashville Lifestyles!

The article reads, "Their weekend retreat, designed by HASTINGS Architecture, embodies the same sensibility - a sleek, riverfront haven shaped by the steady pull of the water".

Caney Fork Fish Cabin sits at the bank of the Caney Fork River at the western base of the Cumberland Plateau. This cabin was built for an avid fly fisher, perched at the edge of the flood plain, as if wading into the waters below. The act of fly fishing is imprinted in this modern cabin, influencing all decisions, and shaping an experience as relaxed and restorative as the “art” itself. Through the use of complimentary materials, textures, and forms, the cabin integrates seamlessly into the landscape. Concrete, metal, and wood come together to create an undemanding, durable, and timeless material palette. The skin of the cabin — a vertically oriented, darkened-siding — takes cues from the striped bass, which is indigenous to the Caney Fork River.
