HASTINGS own, Joseph Platt had the opportunity to return to his alma mater, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, to present alongside a group of creative professionals exploring how artificial intelligence is shaping their work. Representing the architectural perspective, Joseph focused on how AI is becoming a practical and accessible tool within the design process rather than something abstract or theoretical.

Joseph’s presentation focused on custom tools HASTINGS is developing to help remove repetitive tasks and allow designers to get to meaningful design work more quickly. He shared approachable strategies that students could immediately apply in their own studios, with an emphasis on simple workflows that enhance creativity rather than complicate it.
