Julia Smith Wins IIDA Tennessee 2026 Member of the Year Award

IIDA Tennessee selects a Member of the Year as a way to say thank you for showing up, taking part, and making a difference. This year, they have awarded HASTINGS own, Julia Smith as the 2026 Member of the Year!

Julia Smith is an interior designer where she brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to creating engaging, human-centered interior environments. Originally from Lexington KY, she plays a key role in projects from early concept through final detailing, with a focus on design that enhances both function and experience. Her work spans a variety of sectors and reflects her commitment to quality, context, and client vision.

She is a WELL Accredited Professional and a LEED Green Associate, with a passion for sustainability and wellness in design. Julia is an active member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and participates in initiatives such as IIDA Threads, Civic Design’s PARK(ing) Day, and Earth Day volunteer events. She also supports community organizations including Wags and Walks, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Gilda’s Club, reflecting her belief in design as a tool for connection and impact—both within the built environment and beyond.
