As Director of Interior Design at HASTINGS, Claudia Lofton brings extensive experience crafting innovative, award-winning spaces. Guided by a “service first” philosophy, she tailors each design concept to reflect the unique vision and goals of her clients, balancing creativity with thoughtful intent.

Since joining HASTINGS, Claudia has been instrumental in shaping the firm’s success. Though not a Nashville native, she proudly calls the city home—a connection reflected in her deep ties to the local creative community. Her client roster includes major names in music and entertainment such as Apple Music, WME, Warner Music Nashville, Warner Chappell Music, and United Talent Agency. Her work has earned recognition from IIDA, AIA, USGBC, Interior Design Magazine, and the Urban Land Institute.

Claudia is driven by a core belief: good design has the power to transform lives. With people spending most of their time indoors—at home, work, and in public spaces—she views interior design as a vital contributor to health, creativity, and connection. For her, great design isn’t a luxury, it’s a fundamental service that enriches how we live, work, and feel every day.

Her approach is not only aesthetically forward but also deeply rooted in sustainability. She integrates biophilic principles and makes conscientious material choices to ensure responsible, health-focused outcomes. This commitment is evident in her leadership on two of Tennessee’s first WELL-certified projects: Lendlease (LEED Platinum) and Vanderbilt University’s School of Nursing (LEED Gold).

A passionate advocate for the profession, Claudia has served as VP of Advocacy and President of IIDA’s Tennessee Chapter. She continues to champion legislation that elevates and protects the field, while mentoring emerging designers and cultivating a culture of leadership and innovation within the community.

Outside of the studio, Claudia enjoys exploring Nashville’s dynamic food scene, traveling, and spending time with her husband, their spirited son Oliver, and their rescue chihuahua, Phyllis.
