Sierra Jensen

Sierra is an architect and interior designer at HASTINGS. She graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee College of Architecture and Design. During her studies, Sierra’s design style developed from her semester abroad at Aalto University in Finland and her four-year gig as a Soul/R&B specialty radio show deejay. Upon graduating, Sierra began her professional career working on interior renovations and brownstones in New York City at Murdock Solon Architects. In search of new opportunities and more physical space, Sierra moved to Nashville to join HASTINGS in 2018.

In 2019, her interest in evolving technology led Sierra to travel to the Architecture of the Future Conference in Ukraine through the HASTINGS Research + Innovation Grant. Upon her return, Sierra developed HASTINGS’ Technology and Architectural Computation Organization, which focuses on expanding architectural boundaries with tools, training, and experimentation.

Sierra’s interest in cultivating growth in the design industry has led her to become a member of the HASTINGS Equity and Anti-Racism Steering Committee, as well as becoming a LEED Green Associate. Locally, her commitment and interest in elevating Nashville’s design community led Sierra to serve as People Manager for Nashville Design Week.

Outside of work, Sierra can be found rollerblading, sewing, crafting jewelry, or finding an excuse for a themed party.
