HASTINGS is seeking an Interior Design Senior Project Manager

About The Role

HASTINGS is seeking an Interior Design Senior Project Manager with deep experience in hospitality and commercial interiors to lead high-profile projects from concept through construction completion. This role prioritizes executional excellence, client engagement, and project delivery management—ideal for a strategic, detail-oriented leader with a passion for driving successful outcomes across various interior environment typologies.

The ideal candidate can present a proven record of accomplishment of managing interior architecture projects with strong technical acumen, and budget and schedule accountability You will act as a key project liaison, guiding stakeholder alignment, ensuring a collaborative team environment, and upholding quality and performance standards across all project stages.

- Serve as the day-to-day client point-of-contact, establishing and maintaining clear communication and strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

- Manage project execution from concept through construction administration, including consultant coordination, internal resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, and technical oversight.

- Lead project planning and delivery, developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, work plans, and deliverables to ensure efficiency and client satisfaction.

- Oversee cost tracking, and consultant agreements and billing.

- Provide technical leadership across project phases, ensuring documentation meets building codes, ADA and accessibility standards, and jurisdictional requirements (often in collaboration with code consultants).

- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, contractors, and vendors, including oversight of FF&E integration, custom detailing, and hospitality-specific systems.

- Monitor and manage permitting review and approval processes to ensure smooth regulatory approvals.

- Mentor and support junior team members, promoting professional growth and alignment with firm culture and goals.

- Collaborate with studio leadership to optimize team resourcing and project workflows.

- Contribute to business development and proposal effort

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited institution.

- Minimum of seven (7) years of professional interior design experience, with 2+ years of experience in a project management or design leadership capacity.

- NCIDQ certification strongly preferred; AIA or IIDA credentials are a plus.

- Demonstrated experience in budget management, client relations, and schedule control on hospitality and/or commercial interior projects.

- Strong working knowledge of building systems, codes, ADA standards, and FF&E technical integration.

- Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office is required; familiarity with

- VantagePoint, Enscape and Adobe Creative Suite are beneficial.

- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
