HASTINGS seeks a Project Architect

HASTINGS is seeking a Project Architect to join our dynamic and collaborative studio. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable—thriving both as a team player and an independent contributor. This role requires active involvement from Schematic Design through Construction Administration to ensure the successful execution of each project.

About the Role

• Collaborate as an integral part of the project design team on multiple projects to identify objectives, concepts, develop design options, and devise creative solutions.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, presentations, and deliverables for all portions of the project at each design phase, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Coordinate consultants appropriate to defined phase of the project, including basic disciplines as well as specialties, such as acoustical, codes, envelope, lighting, theater, and vertical transportation.
• Maintain constant quality control, check program, codes, drawings, and review specifications.
• Research and evaluate materials, products, and systems to enhance project quality and alignment with budget and goals.
• Provide guidance to the other members of the architectural team.
• Participate in on-site construction meetings and field observations. Prepare and coordinate the review of contractor’s schedules, review of shop drawings, submittals, and samples.
• Advance sustainable design through research, innovative thinking, and application of ratings systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s of Architecture
• Licensed Architect is a plus
• LEED accreditation is a plus
• 5+ years of experience in Architecture
• Strong conceptual and technical skills
• Thorough knowledge of building codes
• Well developed oral and written communication skills
• Advanced skills in Revit, Rhino, BluBeam, Microsoft Office, Sketchup, and the Adobe Creative Suite
