HASTINGS seeks Senior Interior Designer

HASTINGS, ranked #3 Top 50 firm by ARCHITECT Magazine, is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our studio as we continue to design high-quality, sustainable, and meaningful projects. Ideal candidates have excellent time management and communication skills. They have experience working through all phases of the design process from initial concept through construction administration. Successful candidates are highly creative, collaborative, organized and driven with the ability to shift seamlessly between team and individual work.

The Role:

• Collaborate in the development of innovative and creative design concepts that align with client objectives, brand identity, and project requirements.


• Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.


• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other consultants to ensure seamless project integration and act as the primary contact for clients.


• Conduct thorough site analysis and space planning exercises to optimize functionality, efficiency, and user experience within the built environment.


• Source and specify appropriate materials, finishes, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) that meet project requirements, budget constraints, and sustainability goals.

The Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Interior Design.


• 7+ years of professional experience in Interior Design, with a focus on commercial architecture projects.


• NCIDQ certification is considered a strong asset.


• Experience in hospitality design is considered a strong asset.


• Proficiency in Revit and Enscape required, and Rhino a plus. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office.


• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to commercial interiors.


• Proven ability to lead projects, meet deadlines and budgetary constraints.
